Mann is the hottest property in L.A. at the minute after his single's Buzzin' and The Mack stormed the charts. People are desperate to collaborate with him so much so that 50 Cent threw a verse together just to get on his single, we managed to corner him in the S.U. Bar and find out a little about what is going on in a Mann's World.
Welcome to the UK Mann, our summers may not be as hot as LA's but we're just as welcoming, how have you found the UK so far?
I've been before I spent most of my time in London though so this is my first time up north. I love the UK, just love it, there's so much positive energy towards me and my movement so I love it.
People have told me about the weather but every time I come it seems to be nice, maybe the LA weather just follows me around.
How did you decide on the name Mann? Dijon Sharrif Thames seems like a pretty good name to us brits.
It comes from my family, they always said I acted older than I was, always calling me 'little man', it then just turned into my other alias.
It's recently been your birthday, what makes a Buzzin' birthday for you?
I'm turning twenty, which is a pretty big deal to me, so what would make a buzzin' birthday? Probably to come back overseas maybe to Europe with my family.
What do you make of the British hip hop scene at the minute?
It's really good, I've been getting into it a lot lately, people like Wretch 32, Chipmunk and N-Dubz. It's my first time spending a lot of time in the UK so I'm only just getting into it, I'm touring with a lot of exciting guys and girls.
Where is next on Mann's whirlwind tour?
I'm going to Paris, Spain, Cyprus, I can't wait to get my shorts on and hit some of the beaches. I love performing in Paris, it's a whole other feeling there, it kind of reminds me of LA.
Do you miss home?
Yeah, I really miss my family and friends, I don't even really get to speak to them on the phone I've got to hit them on the internet which doesn't feel the same.
What's the craziest request you've ever had on Twitter?
A girl told me to follow her and that she'd hold her breath until I did. I followed her of course I don't want her to do anything crazy!
What's the one item of clothing you won't leave home without?
I like having nice belts so probably those, but then again I love my hats and my sneakers too.
