Hollie-Jay joined the Hollyoaks cast having previously appeared in Grange Hill as Dawn O’Mally.
Hollie loves playing mischievous Michaela, mainly because she isn’t afraid to speak her mind. “I wouldn’t change much about her, she’s great to play but I don’t think I could be friends with her - our personalities would clash!”

What one thing in your wardrobe can’t you live without?

My sequinned jacket and my shiny leggings.

What’s your fallback first date outfit?

A Kate Moss green dress, which I got from wardrobe at Lime Pictures. It used to belong to the character Beth. I was only person in real life who dressed like Beth, so I got all her clothes when she left.

What’s the one thing that make you feel super sexy?

A really good pair of heels. Not a push-up bra, not a tuck me in pants thing. Just a very good pair of shoes

Johnny Depp.

Festival fun.

Do you have a LBD?

I’ve got several little black dresses. Tight ones, baggy ones, long ones, short ones.

How many pairs of shoes do you have?

About 55, I reckon.

Are you a heels or a trainer’s girl?

Heels, though I do own a few pairs of trainers and Converse.

Do you do vintage?

I love vintage, but I do find it very difficult to find, although I did find a fluffy jumper with clown and balloons on the other day, which I just adored. It was so wrong it was right.

What’s your must have item in your make up bag?

It’s got to be mascara.

Sequins – yes or no?

Yes, 100%, yes! I’ve got six sequinned jackets!

Do you have any fashion tips?

Think outside the box. Don’t do anybody else’s fashion. Don’t be a sheep. Wear what you want to wear. If you think it looks silly, well, it probably does, but at least it’s your kind of silly, no-one else’s.
