Character: Dave Colburn

Elliot grew up on film and TV sets with his Dad a cameraman and his Mum a make up artist. However, it wasn’t until he landed his first job behind the camera, that he realised he wanted to be in front of the camera. “I landed some work experience on one of the Harry Potter films” says Elliot, “And because of everything my Dad had taught me, they gave me a job as a Trainee Camera Assistant.

I was asked to perform a small speaking part and it was then that I realised I wanted to be an actor.” Elliot quickly found himself an agent and has been acting ever since. Elliot says, “I was in the car with my Mum when my agent rang and said I had the part in Hollyoaks. We were heading to the BBC for an audition with Holby City."

Tattoo – yes please or no way!

I’m not that bothered about them. I would get one, but because I’m an actor you’ve got to be careful about where you have one.

Do or would you wear guyliner?

I’ve done it for fancy dress, but no, I wouldn’t wear it otherwise.

Do you have a first date outfit? – What is it?

I don’t generally have one.

Who is your fashion icon?

Daniel Craig and Jude Law have got really good dress sense.

I can’t think of one that’s not filthy!

Do you own anything pink?

Yeah, of course! I can wear pink and get away with it, I think! I’ve got a couple of pink t-shirts and shirt.

Are you a ski fanatic or sun junkie?

I really enjoy skiing, so I’d say I’m a ski fanatic.

Who is your fave Hollyoaks character – apart from yours!

I don’t think there is another one! No, I think Beth’s character India is a good one because she has to do the most ludicrous things.

If you could be stuck in a lift with anyone who would it be?

Someone really funny like Ricky Gervais because I think he’d be really entertaining or someone legendary like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

What’s the best gig you have been to?

It was last weekend, so it’s fresh in my memory. I went to see Rihanna at the Brixton Academy. It was a secret show for her album launch made even better when Jay-Z turned up.

If you could have any car what would it be?

I really like the old Mini Coopers. They look great.
